TRAVEL DIARIES | CASTLES & TEMPLES

Severely jet lagged and listening to the new Alt J song on repeat, eagerly waiting for the album to be released. It's nice to be back in the comforts of your own home; freshly washed pjs and home cooked meals hit the spot, although there's currently no food in the fridge so have been living off instant noodles brought back from Taiwan for the past 2 days. In need of some fresh fruit and veg in my body asap.

We managed to squeeze in 4 sites on our penultimate day of Japan. The weather was chilly and we were greeted with some light snow during parts of the day. All the castles and temples offered beautiful landscaping and architecture; ginkaku ji being my absolute fave. Being surrounded by nature was so refreshing and peaceful; not so much the countless number of tourists waving their selfie sticks in the air trying to get a picture that would only end up being half decent.

  9. That seems like so much for one day, but your photos are absolutely stunning! You can't even tell that there are a ton of tourists around!
